I wanted to start this book club because I adore books and always wanted to be a part of a book club but I work non-traditional hours and was never able to get meet up with groups. I figure there have to be more fellow book nerds like myself who want to read and discuss books in social venues...but they just can't do it at the "normal" times.
Meet other like-minded, avid book readers. Always looking for suggested reading material, and people to discuss books with. Local coffee shop meetings one time a month!
Basically, we are a group of "Boomers" who get together once a month to have a book discussion. Occasionally we do other fun things like go to the movies, lunch, or dinner.
Have you ever walked into Barnes & Noble and wanted to buy a book because it had a cool, interesting or pretty cover? Don't get me wrong, the book has to be interesting too, but I bet most of us have a stack of books at home with lovely covers and now we need some motivation to read them. This is the kind of book club where the discussion only gets rigorous if there was something interesting/relatable/discussable in the book. We don't have a list of questions to read from (although you are more …
This is a forum for discussing books on contemporary issues. The books chosen will generally be books that received at least some decent reviews in the mainstream press (e.g. The New York Times). Location: Starbucks in downtown Mercer Island (the stand-alone structure with the drive-thru). We meet roughly every two months. I started this meetup because I would love to discuss some of the books I read and very few of my friends read what I read. A couple of people inquired about the possibi …
It's only been in the last 10 years that I started regularly reading this genre. I know there had to be plenty of people in the Tacoma area wanting to share this passion with a group of like-minded readers. I did not see evidence of a book club Meetup devoted to Sci-Fi and Fantasy when I started looking. So, here we are. If you're passionate about reading and discussing sci-fi AND fantasy books, film and television this is the place for you! Once a month we'll meet to discuss the current book se …
We are hoping to get a fun mix of Seattle gals together to enjoy some coffee/adult beverages and laid-back discussion about the group's book-of-the-month. If you recently moved to the Seattle area or are just looking to meet some new friends, we hope you will join us. Feel free to give book suggestions. We are a new group and we want everyone to feel welcome! {Books will be chosen each time we get together for a meet up. Book suggestions can be shared in our "discussions".}

This group is for anyone in their 30's who have a passion for reading a variety of literature genres and sharing the experience among friends.
I'm putting together a book club for Chick Lit readers. We'll meet once a month on Sunday afternoons and have a coffee while we chat about this month's book. Members will help choose books and our discussions will be casual and fun. Come join us!
Every month we read the best book as chosen by our members. We then meet and discuss them. If the book we chose has been made in to a movie or a play, then we might schedule an additional meetup event. If you are fond of reading and would enjoy discussing books like Three Cups of Tea, The Help, and The Art of Racing in the Rain, we would love to have you as a member of our group.
Meetup details are available only to members.

The Bonney Lake Book Club is meant to provide a forum to explore new books, a forum to discuss the books and any other topic that comes up! What is a Bluestocking you ask? I love to read all types of books and already am a member of another excellent group but they are primarily reading fiction. Would love to form a group to read non-fiction books. Book topics would be wide open from, economics to politics to Social science, physics or spiritual. Would love open friendly discussions from all views. Potential for a wonderful learning environment.
This group is a "real world" extension of the organization I founded on-line called the Indie Book Collective. We are all about helping authors figure out their publication options then helping them succeed (i.e. actually sell their books) through social media, Amazon optimization, and other promotional events. Each weekly meet-up will be filled with discussion on the latest news from the publishing world and how it effects the market and our sales (or plan to sell). No matter if you are only ev …

There are book clubs all over the place, but they're always full, so... here's a new one! All types of books will be read and thoroughly discussed - members will choose their favorites to share. We'll meet once a month, probably at my little house at first until we figure out someplace better. I'd like to have a potluck each meeting too, but that's also open for discussion.
